POSITION: Associate, Full-time; start date as soon as possible


LOCATION: Atlanta, GA


RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is an M&A role, supporting the view and execution of platform and add-on acquisitions. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and a number of different assignments at one time. The relatively small size of the group will offer you the chance to work closely with senior members of the firm and C-Suite executives of our portfolio companies, while gaining exposure to a wide variety of industries.


PRIMARY DUTIES:


1. Perform industry research and build partnership decks for potential acquisition targets
2. Conduct sector research, including identifying investment focus areas, producing SWOT analyses, competitive analysis, trends, comparable company metrics, transaction research, and similar tasks
3. Review investment opportunities and develop and draft potential investment theses
4. Create and manage financial and caluation models used to support investment decisions
5. Prepare quarterly financial reporting packages including KPIs, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis for each portfolio investment
6. Draft due diligence presentations and provide investment recommendations based on comprehensive due diligence, including onsite meetings and performance benchmarking
7. Support marketing efforts through content creation and sector research



QUALIFICATIONS:


1. Experience in M&A, transaction services, corporate finance
2. Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts and industry trends
3. Strong understanding of finance and accounting methods and ability to apply expertise to business scenarios
4. Candidates must be self-starters and motivated, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work both independently and within teams
5. Ability to solve complex problems through solution-oriented analyses and be able to "connect the dots"
6. Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with PowerPoint
