Georgia Oak Partners Announces Strategic Acquisition of Septic Blue
ATLANTA, Nov. 15, 2023 - Georgia Oak Partners, an Atlanta-based investment firm, today confirmed its investment in Septic Blue, a market-leading septic services provider catering to Georgia and North Carolina’s residential markets.
Founded in 2010 by industry veteran Bob Minkert, Septic Blue has a notable history of sustained revenue growth, achieving an 18% compound annual growth rate in recent years. This success is attributed to its advanced online marketing strategy, a corps of highly trained field technicians, and long-standing presence in the industry.
Septic Blue is renowned for its full spectrum of septic services, including installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs, delivered with transparency in pricing and a commitment to excellence. The firm’s dedication to resolving issues efficiently the first time is underpinned by its readiness to address emergencies around the clock.
“I’m thrilled to be teaming up with Georgia Oak,” said Bob Minkert, Septic Blue’s Founder and CEO. “It was important to me that I bring in a local partner that really cares about the long term success of our people. I’ll remain involved in Septic Blue for a period of time, and I’m confident that the company is in safe hands and poised for the next stage of growth.”
“We are big believers in the home services sector, especially companies that provide recession-resistant offerings like Septic Blue,” stated Michael Lonergan, Managing Director of Georgia Oak. “After all, about a third of homes in the Southeast depend on a septic system, and a functioning system is critical for a happy home. Septic Blue has built a successful track record in Atlanta, Charlotte, and Raleigh, and we’re eager to expand our reach across the Southeast region.”
Georgia Oak brings institutional capital and operational know-how to local businesses in the Southeast. This acquisition adds to Georgia Oak’s growing portfolio of residential services companies, which includes Artisan Custom Closets, Spacemakers, and Carolina Closets. Georgia Oak believes the home services sector will continue to experience strong tailwinds as people increasingly invest in their primary residences. This trend, in combination with an aging population of homes in the U.S. that require repairs and renovations, bodes well for the future of residential services.
